Love this sandal but definitely not a narrow! So disappointing. The cross arch strap was too lose without a way to tighten.

I wanted to like the shoes but the lower strap does not lay well (creates an arch) when being adjusted to fit my feet. My usual shoe size is 6.5 regular while Birkenstock did indicate it to be narrow-regular. Otherwise, the platform heels are very stable and the sandcastle color is very pleasant where it blends in nicely with all colors. Have to return. Thanks Zappos for easy shopping experiences.

I wear 81/2 m purchased size 39 fits perfect no problem with straps or fit, I did go to another site and purchased 2 more pairs in Pecan and the light beige color. I have major foot and ankle issues and found this to be a very comfortable shoe, the cork sole and height are perfect for me.

Something isn’t right about these. I’m a normal 8, had to size down to a 7, which fit fine. My feet run a little wide, but Birkenstock usually run wide anyway and I’ve never had a problem before. These are kind of narrow on the strap that’s not adjustable. It seemed like the whole bottom of the shoe, which has a little curve was too narrow and I was walking on it. The bottom of the shoe feels cheap too. Not what I expected for the price.

This is a cute and comfy shoe. It’s definitely not for narrow feet. Even adjusting the buckle, it was still too wide. The front strap can’t be adjusted and is also too wide. I purchased the narrow option.

I’m a true size 7 in most shoes with a slightly narrow foot. I was hoping this would be narrower than a normal Birkenstock, but I didn’t notice a difference. Even with the buckles fully tightened my foot slides out with each step. Otherwise the shoes are very cute and a little more feminine than the classic style.

I love the Papillio sandals they make me a little taller and they are very comfortable, for me they are more comfortable than my regular Birkenstock with the soft footbed but I love them all.

This is a cute shoe, but if you wear a medium/narrow Birkenstock then beware – this shoe is MUCH wider than typical Birkenstocks in the medium/narrow width. I tightened the one strap that could be adjusted all the way, and it was still too narrow. Even if it felt tight, the top strap would still have been miles too wide. I have not purchased anything from the Papillio line before, so don’t know if it is an issue with all that line, but would be extremely hesitant to order any and risk it.

I have a very narrow feet. The top strap was so wide and could not be adjusted, however the bottom strap still was to wide. I felt so bad having to return them. I tried 2 different sizes and it was a no go. I did love the style.

I wear a 40 in my favorite Birks sandals, closed toe Birks, and Papillio I have found I need to size up. Am exchanging for a size up. Straps are too wide for my foot, but as in some other Papillio wedges (which I love), I used moleskin to line the underside of the wide non adjustable strap basically tightening it to fit. Perfect! Hope this works for these. Love the Blue color, love the height, not to high, not flat.

I loved the look of this shoe but because the straps are closer to your toes, the sandal flopped each time I took a step – had to return .

The toe area strap was too big, the buckle strap was too close to the toe area strap causing it to lay poorly. The buckle strap was too far forward to the toe causing the shoe to separate from the heel as flip flops do that foot slap thing when one is walking. I loved the color and the heel height. I know these will reside in my closet and never leave. Had to return.

These shoes are really cute so that’s a plus. However, the bands that go across the top of the foot closest to the toes felt like they were digging into my skin. However, I have to add the caveat that my perception is a bit more sensitive than others when it comes to things like this (seams on socks, things that are too tight, etc.). None of my Birkenstocks have ever needed “breaking in” so I don’t think these would work for me.

I’m a 7.5 so I got the 38 which was the right length. They are comfortable! The only complaint I would have is the support for keeping it on your foot. I tightened the strap to the last notch and might want to get one more hole drilled. They do feel like they may come off if you don’t hold on with your foot. However, they look good and go with a lot of summer outfits so I’m living with the little bit of ‘looseness’.

My first pair of Birkenstocks bcs until now I didn’t like the styles, but the Almina platform sandals are so stylish I had to get them. I’m a 6.5 normally, but for these I got the 36 which here is listed as 5-5.5. A 36 can be a US 6, so perhaps it’s Zappos labeling that’s off? The adjustable strap is great so nothing chaffs or pinches. The fashionable platform gives these an elevated look. The footbed and straps are stiff, but I know cork bottoms will eventually conform to my feet, and I expect the leather will soften up a bit without getting floppy. The arch support is excellent. I wish they came in a leather finish that won’t show dirt, but I got the leather protector/cleaner set to try to keep them clean. I think these work even with a nice dress.

Birkenstock’s narrow size fits narrow-medium. Their regular fits medium-wide. I thought these were so cute, but after wearing them around the house, my Achilles tendons in both feet began to hurt. There are three reasons for this: a) the sole is heavy, b) the straps don’t come far enough back on your foot, so the shoe flaps too much and there’s too much weight on your ankle/heel when walking, and c) there’s no ankle strap to help you lift the back of the shoe when you walk. I appreciate that Birkenstock is branching out in their shoes, but WHY can’t they make them as comfortable as their classic sandals?? Birkenstock is one of the only brands that actually has foot-shaped shoes that allow you to keep your toes straight, which is why I wear them (not for the style), and these shoes were super comfortable to stand in — just not to walk in.

The fur and size is fairly true. They are a bit stiff so will take done break in time.
