I was looking for beautiful, well-designed boots that are comfy and would be neither in nor out of fashion. I needed boots for dressy occasions but also serious winter as I live in Minnesota. These boots were great.

Best boots I’ve ever owned –
I’ve only had these boots for 2 weeks, but so far I love them. Living in Vermont, I was looking for something warm, stable, waterproof but yet good looking enough to wear skirts. I work at a college and walk around on campus a great deal, and I’m concerned about falling down when the walkways get slippery and the snow is deep. So far, these have met all of my expectations. I ordered the wide width and they fit just fine.

The best boots!
This is my 3rd pair of La Canadienne boots, and are the best yet. No break-in period required — they are as comfortable as bedroom slippers from the first wearing, yet they still look sleek and handsome. I absolutely love that they are waterproof — great for traveling. With La Canadienne’s I buy a half size larger so that my orthotics will fit. Excellent boots.

I have one foot that seems to be permanently swollen due to surgeries. These boots fit wonderfully on my “normal” foot, but were too tight on the surgery foot. I wish I could keep them, but they were too uncomfortable on the one foot. 🙁 I ordered the wide-width and the circumference at the top was perfect – which was surprising since I have athletic calves (15 or 16″) and can’t find a boot that fits at the top.

I was hesitant to spend the money on these boots, but the good reviews were encouraging. I was NOT disappointed. They are super comfortable, warm and very hot! The leather is very soft and a rich brown. I don’t have terribly wide feet, but I ordered the the wider size and was glad I did. They fit perfectly. I will agree with others who note they don’t have super arch support, but I suspect I can put my orthotics in them. I haven’t tried yet. I’m sold on La Canadienne boots and the Tracy boots are great!

Boots are great! I have a wide foot and they fit perfectly! I am going To Europe for a 2 week vacation and wanted something that was stylish, water-proof and comfortable to walk in. These “fit the bill”.

I sent these to my daughter. I had sent a half size smaller first and she returned those and I reordered the next size. She got both in only a day or two and the return was processed very quickly as well. I guess if in doubt, order the larger size. The service was the best!

I really love these boots! They are super cute, comfortable, and warm. There is no break in period! I have athletic calves and these fit just right not tucking in jeans but with skirts. I range in size from 8.5 to 9 and had to get the 9.

I love these boots! I have another pair of La Canadienne boots (“Trevis”) and wore them on a trip to Santa Fe. They were super comfortable and perfect for walking around in the snow. When I got back, I put on a pair of comfortable brown boots that I had bought last year, and went for a walk. After a few blocks, my feet started hurting. By the time I got back home, my feet were killing me. I wanted to buy the Trevis in brown, but they don’t come in that color. I searched for another style by La Canadienne. The reviews of the Tracy were so positive, I decided to take a chance. I wear a size 8 to 8-1/2, so I ordered the 8.5. They were a little bit snug. I was surprised, because I have the Trevis in 8.5 and they’re almost a bit too big. I was also concerned because they were a bit snug in the calf. My calves aren’t large, maybe 14-1/2″. After reading a review of someone who wears a size 8 but got the Tracy in 9.5 so she could wear her orthotics, I decided to order the 9.5. (I, too, have orthotics. I don’t have to wear them, but shoes are more comfortable when I do.) They arrived in less than 24 hours, the day before Christmas. (Thank you, Zappos!) They were slightly snug, but comfortable. I’ve since worn them 3 days in a row, and don’t want to take them off, since they’re so comfortable. (They’ve stretched just enough.) I walked for about an hour in them today, and my feet feel great! I was hesitant to spend this much on a pair of boots, but I’m so in love with them, it was worth it. They’re still a bit snug in the calves, but it’s more like a snuggle than a squeeze. I don’t want to take them off!

The La Canadienne Tracy boots are an excellent buy if you are looking for great quality boots. They are very comfortable and they keep looking as new as the first day I wore them. They are waterproof which is nice especially for the winter months. I originally got them in a whole size bigger since other reviews said they fit small, but ended up exchanging them for ones that were only a half size bigger then my normal size. \r\n\r\nZappos was wonderful in exchanging these boots with emailing me with a prepaid return label and they sent out the other size to me the very next day. \r\n\r\n

The best! Have loved this brand for years; needed a pair that was low-heeled & sure-footed yet cute. These are warm, waterproof, fashionable enough, and very comfy & secure on slippery surfaces. I have narrow calves; they fit a bit loose, but are still cute. I’m between a 5.5 and a 6 regularly; the 5.5 fits well on these with a midweight woolen sock. Expensive, but well worth it; I’ve had one pair for 5 years & these also seem built to last.

I LOVE these boots!! I was looking for the perfect pair of black boots for work and dressy occasions. I ordered 8 pairs to try them all on and pick the best (thanks, Zappos, for your great return policy!). These were far and away the best. They were comfortable from the second I tried them on. I went for a 3 mile walk in these the day I got them, and my feet felt great the whole time. They are perfect for rain, snow, & slush – they are truly waterproof, and the sole is extremely sure-footed on slippery surfaces. I have brought them as my only pair of shoes on interview trips and been very happy walking around all day in them. I have never spent this much on a pair of shoes before, but I think you are paying for quality. The quality of the leather and workmanship on these boots is excellent. They look great. I have only had them for a few months, but they are wearing very well and not showing any signs of wear or scuffs (even though they have already been subject to some tough conditions!). I see that other reviewers say they last for years, so I think it’s an investment. I really like the fit of these boots. They are fitted throughout the boot. On other boots, the ankle was looser, but this one is fitted throughout and it emphasizes the shape of the whole leg in a way that looks great with skirts. I am a cyclist and have athletic calves – some of the other boots I tried would not zip. These did because of their nice stretchy fit – it is snug, but not too tight. I would not be able to tuck jeans into them, but I don’t think these boots are designed for that look anyway. I really think these boots are in a league of their own compared with all the similar styles I tried on Zappos – you will not be disappointed!

This is my first online purchase for anything that you would wear. I would totally do it again! I found the reviews was very helpful and accurate. I love my Tracy boots!!! I did not get them until after the rain stopped so I don’t know how water proof they are yet. I can tell you that they are very comfortable, pretty true to size, and cute. Every time I wear them I am stopped and complimented on them. People are shocked when I tell them these are my rain boots. I were them with leggings and tucked into my jeans and DO NOT find that the calf is narrow. The only thing that makes them not 100% perfect is I do find the heel area a little loose. That may just be my weird feet though….these boots are well worth the money.

I like these boots. They are comfortable, look really good. I used them with my knee-length black coat. Size was right. So I didn’t have any problems with them. Shipping was extremely quick.

I have a hard time finding shoes that fit. My heels are narrow and my toes are wider. Most boots slip at the heel. Most shoes are too tight in the toes. Most wide sizes fall off at the heel. I also have to fit orthotics into all my shoes for arch support. These boots are actually made the same shape as my feet! I got the wides (in my normal size 9….I don’t wear my shoes tight) just to make sure I’d have room for the orthotics (insole not removable). At first I thought they slipped too much at the heel but after wearing them around the house they were better. These boots are snug at the ankles to prevent slipping, and to make a nicer more graceful look. They are also thick and cushy on the bottoms, which I really need. Uggs do not fit me at all (way too big in the heels) and are very flat and board-like. I also tried a larger size in the La Canadiennes and found that they were bigger only in the ankle, and seemed tighter in the toes. So I’m thinking these boots vary within the size. Also the colors of the two pairs differed. The bigger ones were a lighter brown. I like the darker ones (very dark brown). The heel height is comfortable as anything that is not close to level puts too much pressure on the ball of my foot. These boots fit all my oddities and I’m glad to have them at any price. Our snow has gone (finally!) so I can’t say anything concerning their waterproof claim, but I really don’t care at this point.

These boots are even cuter in person than on the picture. The comfort of a walking shoe, traction of a sneaker. They were tight around the calves at first (I have normal size calves), but with a little manual stretching of the elastic insert I was able to zipper them all the way up comfortably. They don’t bunch or sag at the ankle, there is just the right amount of flex and support. Bought the black & brown. The brown is closer to an espresso than a chocolate, but the leather is nice and soft.

I\’ve had this boot for a year now, and it has been fabulous. Well worth the investment. The few times I\’ve needed it for snowy or rainy weather, it\’s been great. Plus, it\’s stylish. \r\n\r\nI only gave it a 4 in comfort as the foot bed was a bit hard. So I had to add gels, but that has been fine.

This is the first time I have ever spent this much on a pair of boots, so I hesitated at first. In fact, I tried out a few other pairs (thanks Zappos for excellent free shipping!!) but they were not as soft and comfortable as the La Canadienne. These are quality, beautiful boots, and I know they will last many years! They hug the calf without being tight, and are stylish with skirts or casual pants. Good sturdy tread, also. I plan to wear them to Sweden later this year and I bet they will keep my feet cozy! If you’re on the fence about the price- do it! They are worth it! I ordered a 1/2 up just because I like to wear extra thick socks with boots, but I think they are true to size. A gorgeous pair of boots, folks!

Insanely comfortable! First day with lots of walking & I could’ve kept going. Incredibly comfy and easy to wear. Plus, I like that they’re kinda funky moon-boot looking. If Zappos had the brown in my size I’d be on them in a NY minute (just have them in black). Get them!

OMG! Loved these boots. Supremely comfortable and great looking. Ordered 9½ wide to accommodate my wide foot, and they were perfect. I’m usually a 9, and the half size up was a good idea.
The round toes are attractive and roomy. Wish they had other colors! Thanks Zappos for letting me try on several pair before I made decision. Keep up the great work!

These boots are great if you have narrow feet. As soon as I put them on, I felt like Cinderella putting on the perfect glass slipper. But if you’ve got wide feet, they might not be so great for you.
