I’m usually a size 8 and the 38 fit like a glove. All the adjustable points make it possible to fit a narrow heel while allowing room for a wider forefoot if needed. These are the most comfortable sandals I’ve tried all spring… but that colorful print on the side is iridescent and it just wasn’t what I was looking for. If you want to sparkle a little, you’ll love these!

BEST SANDALS EVER. THE ARE VERY SPECIAL – SO MANY COLORS ALTHOUGH THE CORE PATTERN IS BLACK AND WHITE. Be sure to get the right size. I first bought a too big size and I couldn’t feel the arch support. When they came in my size – the arch support was just right. Only caution is that the leather sole top in the shoe (in other words what your foot does on) is slippery, But essentially I love these sandals and actually bought a second pair to have them in reserve.

I love the turquoise color and bohemian feel of the sandals but I love the comfort even more. I have never worn this brand before but they feel better than more expensive brands that I’ve worn in the past.
Angelene –
I really, REALLY wanted to love this sandal; the design and color scheme is lovely. I just couldn’t.
While the left sandal fit well (pretty good arch support, too), the right sandal was angled oddly and had a weird, hard ridge running along the inner toe line. I tried walking about the house for an hour to see if it would smooth out, but it was terribly uncomfortable. I have average width feet, so maybe if you have a narrow toe you wouldn’t notice it. I considered ordering a larger size, but from the fit of the left shoe, I am pretty sure the arch would shift too far and rub uncomfortably. So disappointing!

I have a really challenging time finding comfortable shoes let alone stylish. I put these on right out of the box and wore them all day. Love the design and they are very comfy. A win win for me.

So cute and lightweight
You don’t even know you have them on
Get them you won’t be sorry

I was almost crying that I had to send these back, the colors and the design were outstanding. I wear a size 11 and the top strap over my toes was too tight. I was heartbroken. The arch support was so nice, the heal was just the right height for me, but just would not have been able to walk around with the tightness across my toes.

I wore these sandals around the house for more than a week before I decided to keep them. They are so darned cute! They are much lighter than Danskos and your toes don’t lift away from the foot-bed and catch on things the way they sometimes do with Birkies. Not to mention that they have a cheeky, artsy style. I did have to get use to the feel of the slick (not slippery) leather foot-bed. It makes you feel like your feet are sweating until you get used to them. The reason I almost sent these sweeties back though was that the band that goes across the base of your toes was too tight and left red indentation on my big toes every time I wore them. After a week I decided to try the Bickford Boot Stretch spray that I’ve used occasionally on my cowboy boots. I sprayed the stuff under the toe strap and wore the sandals with socks for about an hour. It worked! Now I’m getting compliments when I walk, not sore spots.

Usually, I’m a size 9 N with a narrow heel. Frankly, I haven’t had much success when trying a M width shoe. I took a chance with this L’Artiste by Spring Step Sumach shoe because of the style, the adjustable straps, and the adjustable buckle closure. I bought the size 40 Melissa in camel. They fit. They’re comfortable, colorful, and stylish. And I love them.

I loved these shoes. I ordered the black and camel. Wished I could have adjusted the front strap. They needed to be a little wider because I have a problem with my right big toe. I loved both colors and would have kept both. Unfortunately I had to send them back. Very sad.

I bought these sandals at the end of May, a little more than a year ago and gave them a good review. I had to stretch the straps across the front a little, but the style and comfort were great. Now, though, I’m unhappy because the stitching is pulling away from the sole on the left shoe. I live in Vermont, so I’ve only worn them for about four months, and certainly not every day – I switch off wearing them with two pairs of Birkis, which I bought two or three years ago. The Birkis are still in great shape. So… still an A+ on stlye, but a sad face on durability.

These are lovely for anyone without wide feet. Sadly, I’m a WW and they won’t work. Here’s why….you see, only 2 of the 3 straps are velcro. That allows folks like me to adjust for the width. Unfortunately, the first strap across the toes is permanent and not one that can be adjusted. Sorry but these have to go back.

You’ll be comfortable and get lots of compliments! I typically wear an 8.5 M in shoes and sandals (9m in boots), but require a wide toe bed (and have a bunion on right foot). The 39 M fits me perfectly in the Camel colored L’Artiste by Spring Step Sumacah. For a perfect fit, there are several ways you can adjust the straps: two Velcro straps on top of foot and one buckle on the back. This leather sandal has a funky bohemian look which makes it look much more expensive than it was. Slight arch support, which I require. Great to walk in right out of the box! Get them!
Jean –
These have adjustable straps which are great for my narrow heel and foot. I wish they had a little better arch support and the material may be challenging for really hot days, but they are really beautiful and versatile, so I will probably keep them.

Long, narrow, high arched foot feels pampered in this sandal. Style and comfort, what more can a foot desire?
Judith –
These are seriously cute. I ordered the size recommended but it is too small. I wear a size 7 and the 37 was recommended but it has to be returned and hopefully the 38 will not be too big.
Colleen –
best fit in ordering an item ever. Always had a problem with the fit! Not this shoe, fit and width were a perfect fit! Am very pleased!?
Amy –
I wish the sole was black, And that the first strap over the toes was adjustable. Although it looks to be, it isn’t. Also on my pair, the toe strap on one side was significantly tighter than on the other side which was visually noticeable when wearing. I love the iridescent strap combined with plain black to keep it from being overstated, and the adjustable straps are very comfortable, so I may try another pair.
Cheryl –
Everything was great with these shoes. They are prefect.

Fit & size perfect. Disappointed you were out of lighter colors.

Love these sandals. Thanks Barb for showing me them!

Sumacah sandals fit my narrow feet best. The footbed feels like it’s cradling my feet. I don’t want to take them off. I wish they would add more colors.
MaryAnn –
I love shoes that sparkle or shine and these have the perfect artisan shine in a neutral silver and black color. They are super comfortable and looks great with jeans and joggers and the little black dress. Love them!!

Too narrow in the toe for my foot. These are so pretty and so comfortable otherwise.

These are beautiful and they feel great. I received many compliments. They looked great with my outfit.
