The wallet is beautifully made, however it scratches very easily. The wallet had some scratches on it when it arrived. The one big drawback & the reason I am sending it back is that it’s impossible to remove a driver’s license from the ID pocket when you have credit cards in the other slots. I had to remove all the credit cards in order to take my ID out. Not ideal when you have to show your ID. I don’t know why Frye did not put the cutout on the ID window.

I ordered this wallet in Dusty Rose. Gorgeous color, beautiful leather, it was just too big for me! Too many card slots and pockets. I am returning for the smaller version. Side note – try the Frye leather conditioner if you get a mark you’d rather not have. I don’t mind that this leather marks early – adds character! The leather conditioner can be applied with your finger for spot conditioning, it didn’t change the color of my cognac Melissa satchel at all.

Nice wallet. The Frye leather is always amazing. The only thing I wish they change it is the ID slot. It’s very hard to get your ID out when you need to there is no hole grip that you could slide your ID out easily. It kinda drove me crazy so I cut out the plastic thing out completely now it works great!

I absolutely LOVE this wallet. Lots of card slots. Yes they are a little tight but this is leather and over time with use will stretch out some. So glad I spent the money and purchased this. Leather is so soft and the color is spot on.100% recommend.

Just received my order of the Melissa wallet in Cognac, and the color isn’t what I expected (see attached photo). I’m going to keep it since it’s a nice wallet, but be aware that the color may not be what you’re expecting.

Mixed feelings although I am keeping it. The Dusty Rose is not quite as soft and burnished looking as I expected but my feelings are probably tainted by the beloved 20-year old Oroton wallet this Frye is replacing. Hoping this new one will weather as nicely over time and it is pretty.
As other reviewers noted the ID card holder is tight as are the card slots below it. The card slots aligned with the ID holder seem fine.
And for anyone else wondering my iPhone 7 Plus fits nicely in the back pocket.

This could be a beautiful wallet if you like the “worn” look, which I do not. Also, the credit card slots are too narrow, and it is impossible to easily remove cards. I bought the same wallet in black leather (not the “worn” leather), and love it. Beautiful, smooth unscratched leather, and the credit card slots are much better.

Spacious good quality wallet, leather is nice and smooth and will antique well over time. Plenty of room for cash, cards, change and maybe even your checkbook and a pen!

Very high quality wallet. The only complaint that I have is that it is VERY hard to get my license out of the ID compartment. There is a little ridge there and I had to get needle nosed pliers to pull it out. Very high quality leather and a good design. A second snap closure for expansion would be a nice addition for people like me that use their wallet like a file cabinet.

This wallet is absolutely beautiful! The quality leather is so soft, and the apricot color is stunning! There’s plenty of room for your id, credit cards, along with a zippered change department. It also has slots for bills or a checkbook, plus an outer pocket for quick and easy access. A great purchase that I will enjoy for years!
