Sizing recommendations are off – I needed a full size smaller (40 instead of 41). I wear an 8 in everything, but needed a 7 in this shoe.

I have owned Birkenstocks for many years. After reading about this EVA model in a major newspaper, I thought it would be perfect – a more comfortable option to flip-flops. And there were comfortable, at least for the limited time I had them at home, trying them during the day. The problem was that my feet were warm, and were sticking to the bottom of the sandal, even though I’m not someone who has probably with perspiration. I don’t sweat much. But my feet just stuck to the bottom of the sandal and I found it an unpleasant sensation. And this is in early April – it’s not even hot yet. I decided that I need to stick to the more traditional leather-bottom model. But it’s strange, because I wear flip flops, and even artificial-bottom sandal of a really cheap brand. There’s something about either the material or the smoothness that made my feet stick. So I returned them.

This is the second pair of these I’ve picked up for my husband. He lived in his leather Arizona’s but even though they are a sandal, found that they still got so stinky! These are great because you can wash them with soap and water and they are don’t hold any odor. Two things worth noting: 1) He is always a 46 in “regular” (leather) Birks, but had to size down a full size in these, and 2) The first pair only lasted a season before cracking where the front strap meets the footbed, near the big toe. I’ve also had a couple of these EVA pairs do that, and at under $50 I don’t think it’s a big deal to replace once a year, but it’s worth a mention if that’s a dealbreaker for you.

I bought these for my older brother as a birthday gift, after I purchased a pair for myself last summer. My male co-worker has 2 pairs for himself and they’re comfy ALL DAY on your feet. These are honestly, the most comfortable Birks I’ve ever owned and I hate plastic shoes (haha!). They’re spongy and soft, can be work with sock or without, like your regular leather Birks or Birkis. I haven’t noticed that my feet sweat in them, like you may think could be a result with wearing plastic shoes. Can’t wait to bust mine back out for spring!

Been a Birk man for most of my life… Taking care of our feet is important to Health! The cost of nice leather is always creeping higher and higher. And when they are worn almost all the time, it can be a challenge to keep clean and pricy. That is why these EVA’s are outstanding…. At a fraction of the cost of leather, I can wear these Birks everywhere casual (i.e. walking dogs, yard work, cleaning, etc.) and not worry about getting them dirty, washing, or sealing cork, etc. And now my nice leather Briks are saved for more formal endeavors like Costco or fine dinning at say Jacques-in-the-box.??. Doing the flip-flop thing is not worth the risk folks. We have only two feet my friends. Take care of them….

I wear these as my house shoes since slippers never have enough arch support for me. I love them! They’re comfy and offer the right amount of arch support for my plantar fasciitis. Also they’re very lightweight. Great shoe!

I wear a 42 Narrow and saw that the women’s didn’t go to that size. Based on other reviews I ordered the ‘Men’s’. The width though not narrow is perfect and the arch is awesome. These Birkies stay in place on my feet and are the most comfortable Birkies I’ve worn. I’ve been a Birkenstock junky for 39 years now. I just wish Zappos would keep larger sizes in stock for women!

These shoes are great! Order one European size smaller (I’m a 42 in regular birks but found that size 41 fit me best for these waterproof birks).

Love these! I was skeptical at first but had to give these a try. Birkenstock fan all the way and love the cork bed on the regular more expensive styles but I needed something I can get wet. This fits the bill for summertime fun for sure!

Like others have commented order a size smaller than the size chart suggests. I wear a 10.5 US, which was a 43 in the conversion chart. I ordered a 42 and it fit perfectly.
I love the support. I just got them yesterday, but I am wearing them around the house instead of my flat footed slippers. I can already feel a difference with foot and back pain.

If you have a regular to wider with foot like me, be sure to get the Men’s version of this EVA style. The women’s version is Narrow. Love the monochromatic color – its fun, they’re comfy and the aesthetic is comparable to the new 1779 line of monochromatic leather Birkenstock’s just released….but for wayyyyyyyyyy cheaper. I have 4 pairs of birks and Love that I can go to the beach or pool with these without ruining them like I’ve done some in the past. And the pop of color this will add to my ensembles is a major plus ! Love

All of the pieces are plastic as opposed to regular Birkenstock which is leather and leather. These sandals are very good designed very lightweight and very good color combination. I highly recommend it

I love Birkenstocks and the fit. These were a perfect addition to my shoe collection for beach and travel. They are supportive, light weight and can be rinsed off, etc. I did notice that the black has faded in spots while being left out in the sun but I did buy them to wear to beach and beyond. Very cute and versatile.

I ordered men’s size 12 men’s. I really like the fit and support; super lite and the material is a type of a leather material or likeness. I do not want to take these off. Mind you, these are very casual flip flop type shoes. You know, for the price it’s a good deal. These are an imitation of the Arizona Birks.

I have a pair of anthracite Eva birks, and they are my favorite house shoes ever! I decided to get a fresh pair, and they are completely different! I’m sure my old ones have formed to my feet a bit, but the sole length and with are way smaller!

These fit exactly like my suede Birkenstock’s, but I got these for the beach since they can get wet and sandy. I walked around in them all week and didn’t get any blisters or anything. These rival the suede Birks simply for their versatility. I honestly love them

This is my 3rd pair of Birkenstock EVA sandals. Very comfortable, less break in time than regular Birks. My normal shoe size is a 10, however in these I always drop down 1 size.

I’m glad I read the reviews, many of which say these run large. I ordered a size down and they fit perfectly. Very happy with the sandals – I love how light they are, making them perfect for travel – and very happy I followed the suggestions here to order a size smaller than normal (I normally wear a US 13 / Euro 47, but ordered the US 12 / Euro 45).
