I am going to have to say these are such awesome shoes for my grandson who only wears a brace on the left foot. The way he walks does make it wear out a lot faster. I do have a complaint in which I wish you could order 2 different shoe sizes. Because his right side of course, does not have a brace on and I wish that we could order a size lower for that side instead of wearing extra thick socks, especially in the summer. I also wish that they had a more variety of colors and styles in the extra. Wide because. He does have to wear his brace all the time and the other shoes. His foot does not fit in with the brace.

I have been a peds homecare nurse for over 30 years and have used Billy shoes with a few of my precious littles. They give children a sense of being normal to be able to wear cute shoes and nurses and parents the convenience of easy on and easy off. Keep up the good work Billy Footwear. This was the first pair I have actually bought but have used several different pairs. They truly make using AFO’s an ease.

My daughter, 8 in 2nd grade, is fairly new to having AFOs and we’ve gone through a few pairs of shoes already.
These are super sturdy, while not being extra heavy and they’re SO easy to zip! The independence she has again putting on her shoes in the morning is refreshing! These have easily shaved 10 minutes from the morning routine and we won’t go back!

I don’t know if BILLY Footwear knew what they were doing when they did this but their newest high top has a notch at the heel. This makes them perfect for articulating AFO’s because the screws won’t rip holes in the lining .

A great shoe for use with orthotics. The zipper makes it easy to put on and take off. The ability to adjust the laces to accommodate the braces is absolutely perfect. A well made sturdy construction. I strongly recommend this shoe.
